Based in Lyndhurst, VA, this position plays a vital role in customer engagement, solution development, and long-term relationship management in the industrial refrigeration industry.
We are looking for a technically inclined and motivated Sales Engineer to help drive business development across our compliance software and aftermarket service divisions. The Sales Engineer leads efforts to grow and manage customer accounts by combining technical knowledge with strategic sales experience. This role oversees multiple aspects of account engagement—including recurring engineering services, software sales, training, and compliance management—while ensuring strong relationships and customer satisfaction.
Key Duties
Translate complex engineering concepts into actionable client solutions
Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to project delivery for new and existing customers
Collaborate with engineering teams to design and quote custom solutions
Serve as a trusted advisor and point of contact for assigned accounts
Align customer needs with product and service offerings through consultative sales
Partner with internal teams to coordinate service and product implementation
Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings
Facilitate post-sale customer service and ensure follow-through on deliverables
Support lead generation through cold calling, referrals, networking, and content marketingMaintain accurate records in CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce)
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an accredited institution
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to communicate technical concepts
Ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders from site-level staff to C-suite executives
CRM proficiency (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms)
Effective project management, organizational, and professional communication skills
Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated or standing) for extended periods
Occasionally may need to lift or carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., office supplies, small equipment)
Preferences
Experience in industrial or refrigeration sales
Familiarity with engineering-based services or compliance programs
Strong customer service and relationship-building background
