We are seeking a motivated
Parts Counterperson / Parts Specialist
to support our dealership customers with fast, accurate, and professional parts service. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in
automotive, truck, agriculture, or equipment parts departments
who thrive in a fast-paced customer service environment.
As a Parts Counterperson, you will assist walk-in and phone customers by identifying, locating, and supplying the correct parts from inventory or sourcing them through approved vendors when not in stock. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient parts operations.
Key Responsibilities
Respond quickly to customer parts inquiries (in person and by phone)
Identify parts availability, pricing, and lead times
Source parts from inventory, order systems, or external suppliers as needed
Process and track customer orders from request to delivery
Communicate delays, updates, and alternatives to customers professionally
Maintain strong customer relationships with a sense of urgency and accuracy
Assist with inventory stocking and general department support
Ensure all work aligns with dealership policies and procedures
Qualifications
Minimum 18 years of age
Experience in
automotive, truck, agriculture, or equipment parts/service
preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to read and understand parts systems and catalogs
Basic computer skills (MS Office and parts management systems)
Stable work history and strong attention to detail
Highly motivated with the ability to take initiative and ownership of tasks
Preferred
Truck dealership or heavy-duty parts experience
Trade school training in Parts Operations or Transportation Technology
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
