About The Role As a Sales Ambassador, you’re responsible for building and maintaining relationships with guests by promoting and selling our product, ensuring guest experience satisfaction and driving profitability. Your goal is fun, engaging interactions with visitors in Chicago and converting them into Flyover guests. We are looking for vibrant, upbeat, result‑driven, team‑based individuals to add to our team! This job is perfect for those with previous experience in the hospitality industry, retail, sales or other customer service positions.

This is a seasonal part‑time, on‑site role from March 16 – Oct 1. The wage for this role is $24/hour USD, and a full breakdown of perks and benefits will be discussed during the interview process.

What You’ll Do

Develop an understanding of what Flyover is, demonstrate and explain what we offer to guests to accurately answer questions about the Flyover experience and product

Represent our brand positively in all interactions with guests by upholding our company values and mission in every guest experience

Engage with potential guests to introduce our product

Actively engage with tourists and locals on the Pier or events around Chicago, promoting and selling tickets

Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive team environment

Process transactions quickly and accurately, ensuring guest satisfaction

Be available to work flexible shifts, including days, weekends, major events, and holidays, to meet the needs of our business and guests

Contribute to building a respectful environment where safety comes first

Participate in promotional events, trade shows, and exhibitions as required

Hand out promotional materials to potential guests

Engage with community members throughout Chicago as part of our experiential marketing program

Provide support to guests on how to book tickets through our website and/or via QR Codes

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Chicago entertainment offerings, including show schedules, venue information, and special events

Be an ambassador for Flyover in Chicago and the city of Chicago

Other duties as required

Qualifications

2+ years’ experience in the tourism/hospitality industry

Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a related field, preferably in a face‑to‑face environment

A proactive, results‑driven attitude, with a commitment to achieving sales targets

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with a diverse range of individuals. Bilingual is a plus

Outstanding guest service skills and passion for hospitality

Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills

Demonstrate a calm demeanor in a bustling environment

Must be self‑motivated, have high energy, and a willingness to take on new challenges

Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities

Comfortable and engaging and initiating conversation when speaking with guests

Availability to work a variety of shifts including evenings weekends and Holidays

Must be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time, indoors and outdoors for the duration of the position

Work conditions may include working evening shifts or working outside in various extreme noise and/or weather conditions

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required to complete all sales transactions

Knowledge of the Chicago entertainment scene is a plus

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk and remain on your feet for long periods of time

Frequent standing, reaching, and moving while maintaining balance

Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, or stooping

Ability to push, pull, and carry equipment such as carts, dollies, and boxes

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Shifts range from 2–10 hours, depending on the day

This is mostly an outdoor role and requires working in hot weather

Must be comfortable in high‑energy environments with loud sounds, crowd noise, changing or strobe lighting, and multiple screens playing at once
