Role Summary The Senior Product Specialist sits within the Strategy, Product and Portfolio Team at VW Credit and will help identify, test, and bring new products to market to support the future of personal mobility, the roll‑out of autonomous vehicles, and the adoption of new business models. The role is the champion for customer‑driven product development and lifecycle management for the Product Team, working closely with our brand partners and the overall VCI Mobility 2030 strategy. The specialist will have high visibility to senior management teams of VCI, Audi, Volkswagen, and Ducati and must possess exceptional communication and influence skills.

Responsibilities

Participate in user interviews, focus groups, surveys, and design thinking to understand consumer preferences and develop new product concepts.

Build and evaluate business cases for existing and new product concepts.

Lead planning, execution, reporting, and other tactical components of VCI’s Retail Finance product pilots and new product launches.

Collaborate with stakeholders to map and align business needs (operations, sales, marketing, finance, IT, logistics).

Research industry trends, competitors, and new developments in Mobility and Fintech.

Manage partnerships by drafting agreements, leading day‑to‑day interactions, and tracking SLAs with legal counsel as needed.

Report and present regularly on KPI progress, success stories, and improvement opportunities.

Contribute to the overall new product development strategy and roadmap for VCI.

Role Breakdown

Product Management (70%)

– Manage core products and launch new products; evaluate lifecycle and deliver new functionalities; explore new products in leasing, retail, and mobility space, including strategy, execution, and success metrics.

Strategy (15%)

– Support the Sr. Director in defining, executing, and adapting VW Credit’s product strategy.

Ideation & Problem Solving (15%)

– Apply creative thinking and sensitivity to timing, expense, and risk when prioritizing development needs and resolving roadblocks.

Qualifications

7–10 years of experience managing products, taking new product concepts to market, analyzing data, building financial models, and leading cross‑functional teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is desired.

Experience in product management, business development, analysis, new product development, and project management.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize opportunities in ambiguous contexts.

Bias to action and proven track record of delivering minimum‑viable products and scaled solutions to market at rapid speed.

Ability to partner with designers, developers, business analysts, and other SMEs to deliver great products.

Strong analytical mindset with capability to build robust economic analyses of new business concepts.

Passion for identifying and solving real consumer and business problems with a customer‑driven approach.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, tailoring delivery and message to audience.

Intellectual curiosity for the underpinnings of new product concepts (technology stack, operations, financials, etc.).

Depth of knowledge in new consumer and commercial mobility concepts (vehicle subscriptions, bike/scooter sharing, fleet management services) and in Fintech.

Experience with Agile methodology, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Ability to research and evaluate new technologies, manage tight deadlines, and multi‑task.
