Senior Customs Classification Specialist (m/w/x)

Job Description * Accurately determine the Harmonized System (HS) Code for our product portfolio and assign relevant EZT, TARIC (Europe), TARES (Switzerland), and UK Global Tariff classifications * Responsible for the technical classification of goods according to German, EU, and US customs and export control laws * Analyze technical product specifications to determine appropriate customs classification * Monitor changes in trade laws, including updates to HS Codes and TARIC, and implement necessary adjustments. * Continuously monitor updates to export control regulations, sanctions, and embargoes in Germany, the EU, and globally, and ensure internal processes are updated accordingly . * Support audits and investigations related to customs classifications * Developing and optimizing classification processes and coordinating with authorities and external service providers Qualifications * A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or a technical vocational training with several years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering * Strong technical understanding, including the ability to read technical drawings and documentation * Experience with ECCN classification * Experience with customs practice in EU, including identification of issues related to classification * Excellent knowledge of customs tariff classification, including direct experience with classifying products under Harmonized Tariff System * Strong Analytical and technical mindset * Knowledge of customs and foreign trade is a plus * Fluency in English, German is a plus Additional Information * Competitive salaries based on your professional experience * Fast growing international company with stable employment * Annual vacation and 1 additional day off on your birthday * Mental Wellbeing Program with OpenUP * Opportunities for advancement, further trainings (over 650 courses on soft and hard skills on our e-learning platform) and coaching * Referral Program with attractive incentives Join us today and let's create a success story together!
