Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a survey crew for field operations.
- Perform surveying tasks including topographic, boundary, ALTA, right of way, as built, flood elevation, and lot surveys.
- Conduct construction layout and staking activities.
- Collect, calculate, and record accurate field data.
- Create plats, plot plans, and survey documentation.
- Maintain and care for survey equipment, instruments, and vehicles.
- Follow CAD standards and utilize CAD tools for survey-related tasks.
- Maintain project schedules and ensure timely completion of field work.
- Coordinate with clients and field representatives.
- Ensure quality and accuracy in all surveying operations.
Qualifications and Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in surveying and related field tasks.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred.
- Knowledge of survey calculations, legal descriptions, and field data recording.
- Experience with GPS and robotic survey equipment preferred.
- Ability to supervise field teams and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
