Flexjet and its portfolio of sister brands are seeking a seasoned, high‑style Senior Video Editor to elevate the company’s global short and long form storytelling through video, film, motion and multimedia content. This role is central to crafting the cinematic language of the brand—shaping raw footage, creative briefs, and strategic direction into polished, emotionally resonant pieces that uphold the luxury expected from Flexjet. The Senior Video Editor will work closely with the Multimedia Director, Creative Director and VP, Creative Services to ensure every deliverable—from high‑production brand spots and docuseries to agile social edits and advertising placements—reflects the bespoke positioning of Flexjet and its luxury brand collaborations while engaging audiences with clarity, imagination and impact.
The ideal candidate is a storyteller and technician with expertise in pacing, rhythm, and narrative, who also excels in color grading, sound design, motion graphics integration, and multi‑platform export standards. This individual will set the bar for editorial excellence as the production team grows, art directing other editors or freelancers as needed, and collaborating cross‑functionally with the broader Creative Services group.
Core Responsibilities
- Edit short‑form and long‑form content across a range of formats, including brand films, social media spots, event highlight reels, custom digital ad placements and internal communications.
- Interpret creative briefs and translate concepts into visually compelling and emotionally engaging narratives.
- Maintain brand consistency in tone, pacing and aesthetic across all outputs.
- Execute advanced editorial techniques such as sound design, color correction, motion graphics integration, and visual effects to complete projects, and guide onboarding of specialists in these areas.
- Prepare multiple deliverables optimized for web, broadcast, event displays and social platforms.
Project Management & Workflow Ownership
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining editorial excellence.
- Oversee and organize post‑production workflows, including file management, proxy editing, and delivery pipelines.
- Establish and uphold technical standards for video exports, storage, and archiving.
- Collaborate with the Multimedia Director to scope editing timelines and resource needs for upcoming projects.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with external and internal Producers, Directors, and Designers to align edits with broader creative intent and campaign objectives.
- Work closely with the Social Media and Digital teams to adapt video content for platform‑specific requirements.
- Collaborate with the Events and Content teams to create compelling highlight reels, executive hype reels and documentary‑style storytelling.
- When needed, liaise with external production vendors and freelance editors, providing oversight and creative direction to ensure brand alignment.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Provide guidance and feedback to other internal editors, freelance talent, or motion graphics collaborators with Creative Services.
- Champion editorial best practices within the Multimedia team and across the Creative Services group.
- Contribute to a culture of constructive critiques, new idea development and continuous creative and skillset growth.
Innovation & Industry Awareness
- Stay current with editing software updates, plugins, and emerging post‑production technologies.
- Explore and implement innovative editorial techniques that enhance Flexjet’s storytelling and production value.
- Monitor competitor and aspirational brands to benchmark and identify differentiation opportunities in luxury video production.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Film + Video Production, Multimedia, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 6–8+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally within luxury, lifestyle, travel, fashion or related aesthetics.
- Proven portfolio demonstrating mastery of editorial storytelling across formats (brand films, commercials, social content, digital, product promotions, etc.).
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and/or related editing/production software.
- Strong technical knowledge of codecs, color workflows, audio mixing, and delivery specifications.
- Experience managing multiple deadlines with exceptional organizational skills and attention to fine detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with directors, producers, and creative leads while confidently supporting editorial decisions.
- Refined sense of pacing, sound, and visual storytelling appropriate for luxury brand audiences.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable reviewing edits with executives and stakeholders.
- Support for internal and external productions shoots (if and when necessary).
- Travel as required.
