
Social Media Coordinator

Overview
Position Overview: Colony Square is seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and energetic individual to manage all social media platforms and digital content. As the Social Media Coordinator, you will oversee all aspects of Colony Square’s day-to-day social media efforts relevant to retailer and guest engagement, and you will maintain and grow Colony Square’s online communities to build awareness and drive traffic and sales. The role acts as the frontline brand voice by interacting with guests and fans in real time on various web platforms. The right candidate will have excellent verbal and writing skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teams, a sharp wit, and a willingness to work during non-standard business hours. Prior experience in customer service, social media management, public relations, or digital marketing is preferred.
Responsibilities
Create a social media and digital strategy; develop and implement social media and digital marketing plan(s).
Manage day-to-day social media initiatives across platforms to drive retailer and guest engagement.
Brand storytelling and execution: execute social media and digital marketing plans and day-to-day initiatives.
Visual design and digital strategies: ensure compelling graphics and multimedia that align with brand standards and the overall marketing plan; oversee management of digital screens on property and scheduling platforms with timely updates.
Engaging content strategy: create and publish high-quality content, tailor content to each medium, oversee creative and design (landing pages, email headers, website, ads), implement an editorial calendar, and maintain a regular publishing schedule.
Property event support: assist in set-up, execution, and breakdown of on-site events; after-hours availability as needed.
Promotion strategy: design, create, and manage organic and paid social media plans.
Engagement strategy: monitor/listen, respond, ask questions, engage audiences, and coordinate with PR.
Conversion strategy: scale social media marketing plans to increase followers, engagement, impressions, and reach; integrate with traditional marketing plans.
Measure & analyze: establish benchmarks and KPIs; interpret data and report monthly and yearly results with insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
1-2 years of professional social media experience with demonstrable examples.
Passion for pop culture and technology; up-to-date on latest social media trends and practices.
Creative mindset with excellent writing and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to new tools, processes, and platforms; knowledge of digital marketing and SEO trends.
Willingness to work beyond normal business hours when needed.
Ability to balance creative and analytical thinking; strong brand storytelling and community management skills.
Familiarity with website development concepts and SEO, including keyword research and Google Analytics (a plus).
Basic photography and videography skills; proficiency with Canva, Later, Mailchimp, Adobe Photoshop, and related tools (a plus).
Experience with digital screen management and scheduling platforms; ability to execute timely updates.
Team player with leadership capability; strong relationship-building with tenants, partners, and influencers.
