As a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ), you’ll dive into the heart of every story by talking to community members. Your role covers pitching, writing, shooting, interviewing, and editing—owning each step of the storytelling process while collaborating with a team to deliver compelling, accurate coverage that connects with viewers.

Telling stories across platforms including TV, connected television, and digital
Working with flexible deadlines and a supportive community to maintain a work‑life balance
Required Qualifications
3+ years of television news reporting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field; or comparable television work experience
Ability to shoot video, knowledge of video editing software, and effective use of social media
Strong on‑camera communication and writing skills
Innate curiosity and sense of urgency when creating compelling stories; able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
Open to travel within the community and interact with the public
Ability to work under time pressure, flexible shifts, weekends, holidays, and overnight for breaking news or severe weather
Valid driver’s license for authorized driving in the state of residence
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a 24‑hour news channel
Working Conditions
Work inside a climate‑controlled environment and outside throughout the year, possibly under extreme heat or cold conditions
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $81,000.00 and $148,000.00 . Compensation will consider skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions may be eligible for additional incentive‑based compensation such as bonuses. We comply with local wage minimums.
