Boeing Training Solutions is dedicated to the development of capable and resilient commercial aviation professionals. Our training products are trusted worldwide and backed by Boeing’s experience, knowledge, and research to increase learning efficacy and enhance aviation safety.

We offer a variety of materials, functionality, and services in support of airlines’ adoption of Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA), and Evidence Based Training (EBT) for airline Pilots, Mechanics, and Instructors.

Boeing Training Solutions is seeking an on-site UX Design Lead in Seattle, WA on our Management Solutions team to deliver a uniform and user‑centric digital experience for our digital application which offers Training, Grading, and Analytics capabilities.

This person would be taking lead/ownership of design on grading and evaluation application – used to observe and track performance of pilots and mechanics – how they do their jobs. An instructor would observe, and then grade/take notes, both a web and tablet experience for that. If the designer has experience working across web and tablet mediums. Looking for someone who could be a principal level designer who can eventually mentor other designers, be knowledgeable. They should be experienced working with or creating Design Systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the UX design process from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.

Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions.

Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design ideas.

Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.

Collaborate and lead product designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the design process.

Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that user experience is prioritized in all decisions.

Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across products.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

5 + years related work experience in UX design and/or development.

An online portfolio of case studies demonstrating strong visual design skill and user-centered design solutions. (Include a password for access, if applicable)

Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.

Familiarity with developing or utilizing best practices in design systems, component libraries, and tokens.

Experience in designing for both mobile and web applications.

Ability to work autonomously and advance projects in ambiguous environments.

Strong understanding of user research methodologies and usability testing.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and articulate design decisions to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.

Experience in training applications or data visualization preferred.

Pay Rate Range
90 - 95 USD hourly
