Field Director Facilities – NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital - Engineering Reporting to the Senior Director - Facilities Operations, the Field Director directs and oversees preventive, reactive and emergency maintenance teams and personnel in the field. Directs engineering staff and related resources to maintain a safe and reliable hospital physical plant, grounds and equipment. Plans, directs, and supervises the functions and activities of facilities managers and staff.
This is a full time position located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital overseeing the Center for Community Health (CCH) and the main campus.
Preferred Criteria
NYC Steam/Refrigeration license
Required Criteria
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
At least seven years of supervisory facilities engineering experience, preferably at a large hospital
Proven management skills in diverse labor force
Microsoft Office skills
Knowledge of MEP systems, CMMS systems
Management/Supervisory skills
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
Knowledge in the use of CMMS systems to organize and track staff work performance
Knowledge of NFPA Life Safety Code, JCAHO, New York State, and other regulatory agency safety requirements.
