Job Summary
The dominant #1 station in Alexandria, Louisiana, is seeking a dynamic and driven producer with an eye for great storytelling. Must thrive during breaking news and work well both independently and as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Own the daily newscast from start to finish—stacking, timing, and producing.
Drive breaking news and severe weather coverage, making quick, confident editorial decisions in real time.
Craft strong, clear writing for anchors and teases that keep viewers engaged.
Collaborate closely with anchors, other producers, meteorologists, reporters, and the digital team to coordinate content across platforms.
Edit video and build graphics to support storytelling and maintain a clean, professional look.
Maintain high editorial standards while working efficiently under deadline pressure.
Qualifications and Requirements
College degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
Strong writing skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging content across platforms
Must be able to meet daily news deadlines and work well under pressure during breaking news and severe weather events
Understanding of and adherence to journalism ethics and AP Style
Knowledge of ENPS and Edius is a plus
