What You Will Do
Underwrite and manage an assigned portfolio of Financial Lines facultative business, ensuring alignment with profitability, growth, and exposure management objectives.
Develop new business opportunities in line with departmental strategy and company underwriting guidelines.
Execute underwriting strategies to achieve budgeted premium, profitability, and portfolio balance targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and intermediaries to enhance submission flow and market presence.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Claims, Accounting, Product, and Operations, to support overall business objectives.
Monitor market conditions, competitor behavior, and underwriting trends to inform risk selection and pricing decisions.
Participate in marketing activities, including travel to assigned brokers and territories as required.
Education & Experience
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Have a minimum of three (3) years of underwriting experience in Financial Lines, including D&O, E&O, Crime, and Cyber.
Demonstrated experience analyzing and structuring facultative placements, including negotiating terms and conditions.
Technical & Professional Skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risk structures and program designs.
Sound underwriting judgment with disciplined adherence to underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
Comfortable operating independently while contributing effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Strong organizational skills and operational discipline, ensuring quality, consistency, and service excellence.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Language Requirements
Fluent in both Spanish and English (required).
Portuguese fluency is a strong plus.
Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $88,000 - $120,000 annually. Offers include access to a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
