Employment Type: Full time, 37.5 Hours a week

Salary: $20.00 an hour

General Description The Youth Mentoring and Community Engagement Coordinator is an agency‑wide position that supports and ensures quality operations, recruitment, training and coordination of the youth mentoring program and volunteers. This position fosters and develops strong relationships with community members, volunteers and program participants securing a welcoming, efficient, and mission‑driven service environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment, screening, onboarding, interviewing, and youth mentoring/volunteer scheduling.

The youth mentoring program requires in‑home or in‑person intake upon youth and volunteer mentor enrollment.

Facilitate monthly group outings for youth mentoring.

Provide training/orientation, ensuring understanding of safety, confidentiality, and service standards.

Coordinating presentations and events in alignment with agency mission interests and goals.

Provide support to all volunteers and supervise youth mentoring volunteers.

Recognize and celebrate volunteer and youth mentoring contributions through appreciation initiatives and communications.

Manage and schedule volunteer groups for dedicated events throughout the year that may include staff, agency council members or members of the community.

Maintain accurate records of service hours, reports, files, documentation and contact information.

Build new partnerships and foster positive relationships with community groups and businesses to strengthen volunteer/youth mentoring recruitment and engagement.

Maintain updated knowledge of community outreach events and volunteer fairs.

Attend essential community partnership meetings supportive and collaborative of agency growth and missions.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and health regulations.

Participate in staff meetings and contribute to ongoing program improvement efforts.

Participate in relevant agency meetings and/or training.

Actively pursue the development of professional competencies related to job role performance through reading, supervision, in‑service training, and attendance at conferences and workshops.

Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education: Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in community outreach and/or volunteer management preferred. Proficiency with MS Office tools required and experience with Raiser’s Edge or other fund development software preferred. Marketing experience in a non‑profit setting strongly preferred. Relevant years of experience and education will be considered.

Ability to work in a cooperative and helpful manner with all individuals.

Willingness and ability to foster agency and program‑wide cooperation and teamwork through use of positive/constructive communication techniques.

Continuous use of a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
