Overview We are looking for a detail‑oriented Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. You will manage a high‑volume queue, make critical corrections, and ensure compliance with investor guidelines. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac standards and experience working with a variety of loan products.
Responsibilities
Process urgent loan files and ensure closings within tight deadlines.
Manage a queue of 40–50 loans and prioritize tasks effectively.
Make adjustments to cash‑to‑close amounts, debt‑to‑income (DTI) ratios, and seller credits.
Restructure loans as needed during closing.
Review borrower documentation, including credit reports and bank statements.
Apply investor guidelines and add conditions to loans.
Collaborate with branch operations teams to resolve issues and finalize loans.
Qualifications
3–5 years of loan processing experience.
Strong understanding of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines.
Experience with conventional loans, FHA, and VA loans.
Knowledge of VA funding fees and COE requirements.
Ability to identify and verify documentation, including large deposits.
Experience with purchase transactions (not just refinances).
Encompass experience preferred.
