Senior Programmer Analyst - Salesforce ServiceMax Administrator - Developer

JOB SUMMARY This position provides analysis and functional/technical skills within an existing and emerging Salesforce environment. The candidate will work within the Salesforce and ServiceMax development team, performing research, analysis, design, configuration, coding, testing, maintenance, support, training, and implementation of information technology solutions in the Salesforce platform.

The role will primarily focus on work within the Experience Cloud ecosystem, including development and optimization of external-facing portals. The role will also support Agentforce initiatives through the deployment of new virtual agents designed to improve overall customer experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Design, develop and configure Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and Agentforce along with ServiceMax to advance product capability and meet a global user base.

Ensure all development – Apex, LWC, flows, integrations, and configuration – follows Salesforce best practices, including governor‑limit awareness, naming conventions, flow design standards, and maintainable architecture patterns.

Implement complex development tasks, including Apex classes, triggers, LWC/Aura components, API integrations, and data model design.

Ensure code quality through unit testing, automated testing strategies, peer reviews, and adherence to development standards.

Support release management processes, including version control and deployment strategies.

Takes initiative to understand customers and their environment, dedicated to quality client service and responsive to client needs.

Lead requirements‑gathering sessions with product owners, business stakeholders and end users to understand needs, pain points and desired outcomes.

Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.

Apply highly professional business and/or technical knowledge when working with customers, other IT groups and vendors.

Demonstrate ownership and personal accountability for areas of responsibility, proactively identifying issues and driving solutions.

Conduct research and evaluate emerging Salesforce technologies, including AI‑driven features and Agentforce capabilities.

Work with team members to deliver on time and on budget committed results to customers.

Continuously expand knowledge of Salesforce, Agentforce, ServiceMax and related technologies through self‑directed learning and certifications.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Share responsibility with team members for 24‑hour on‑call problem resolution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Experience:

Minimum 8 years of experience.

In-depth experience in Salesforce declarative development (object modeling, translation workbench, workflow rules, validations, page layouts, etc.).

Experience in Force.com development (APEX triggers, Classes, Visualforce, Controllers).

Experience with Lightning Web Components and Aura Components.

Experience with Salesforce communities (Experience Cloud).

Experience with ServiceMax (a plus).

Active Salesforce.com developer certifications (Admin/Adv Admin, PD1, PD2) required.

UI/UX design experience in the Salesforce Experience Cloud (a plus).

Agentforce configuration knowledge (a plus).

Mobile optimization of Salesforce Experience Cloud sites (a plus).

Experience writing functional requirements and associated test cases.

Understanding of Agile methodology preferred.

SKILLS

Solution Architecture Skills – drive leading practices and established design patterns for integration and core application development in Salesforce.com.

Experience with common Force.com code development/migration tools (Git with Azure DevOps, etc.).

Ability and willingness to educate and train others.

Strong orientation to customer satisfaction.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize.

Team-oriented behavior and effective communication with both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Working knowledge of multiple business disciplines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Typical office environment requirements include reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

TARGET PAY RANGE Target Pay Range:

$111,400.00 to $139,300.00 – Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Target Bonus on Base:

7.0%
