Job Title: Service Porter
Job Summary:
A Service Porter supports the daily operations of the service department by moving vehicles, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting staff and customers. This role helps ensure efficient workflow and a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Move customer and dealership vehicles to and from service lanes, parking areas, and service bays
Greet customers upon arrival and direct them to service advisors
Keep the service drive, shop area, and parking lot clean and organized
Wash, vacuum, and prepare vehicles after service
Shuttle vehicles or customers as needed
Monitor vehicle flow to avoid congestion in service areas
Assist technicians and service advisors with basic tasks
Perform lot checks and ensure vehicles are properly parked and secured
Follow all safety procedures and dealership policies
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission (preferred)
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Physical Requirements
Frequent walking, standing, and bending
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs occasionally
Work Environment
Combination of indoor service shop and outdoor lot
Exposure to vehicle noise, exhaust, and varying weather conditions
Typical Schedule
Full-time or part-time; will include weekends
