What’s the role? The Business Development Department is pivotal to growth. BDRs identify & create new sales prospects, utilizing our automotive dealership database and Salesforce. Opportunities for growth are abundant, especially for high performers.
What You'll Do
Maximize the value that Westlake delivers to dealers, driving higher engagement with our products and services.
Communicate and sell the value of Westlake’s entire suite of products and services.
Work in close partnership with the Westlake financing, flooring, and Western funding sales teams to generate leads, communicate value, and provide tangible sales leads for closure.
Exhibit an excellent understanding of Westlake’s products and services.
Prove ability to communicate and sell Westlake’s value story to dealerships.
Qualities We Look For
Strong knowledge of warm calling, appointment setting, and sales techniques.
Clear and effective presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technology.
Demonstrated experience in automotive, finance, and sales (preferred).
1-2 years previous experience in a sales role with a proven track record of success.
High school diploma required.
Retail or sales experience required.
Compensation
Self-determined, performance-based compensation package.
Base pay is $17.87 per hour.
First 6 months potential income of $5,000 monthly + any performance-based commission.
Average rep earning after 1 year – $60,000 to $70,000 per year.
Potential for high commissions.
Exact starting compensation determined at hire based on location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
