
Senior PR Manager, Spirits Team

At The Brand Guild, we craft and tell the stories of some of the world’s top purpose-driven spirits brands, and we are looking for a Senior Public Relations Manager to join our rapidly growing Spirits Team. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves the exciting pace of agency life, is a voracious reader whose curiosity never subsides, and who is equal parts left brain and right. Note: this position is hybrid (Tues-Thurs in office) and can be based in either our Washington, D.C. or New York office.

You Will
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop creative and strategic ideas/campaigns and supporting communications for portfolio of spirits clients
Lead client programs from concept development through execution and post-campaign evaluation of results
Develop strong relationships with clients, and serve as day-to-day client contact
Actively engage and counsel clients to help achieve strategic business objectives
Maintain strong media relationships and proactively identify, create, pitch and follow up on media opportunities to garner national and regional earned media coverage
Work collaboratively across departments
Create communications materials including brand strategies, press releases, media messages and analysis
Stay on top of industry trends trends and position the team as experts in the field
Prepare spokespeople for media interviews through the development of messaging, talking points, and media training
Manage direct reports, including mentoring, consistently providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews
Qualifications
5 years of agency experience developing and executing public relations strategies for spirits and/or beer/wine/beverage brands.
Ability to provide essential support for press initiatives including media and client management, and strategy development
Experience presenting strategies and plans to executives
Experience managing direct reports
Active relationships with national consumer lifestyle, spirits and food/bev media
Confident communication and presentation skills
Excellent organizational and planning skills with a strong eye for detail
