Universal Television Entertainment Digital, Creative & Design Internships – Academic Year

Academic Year Internship Program Details Program Dates:
September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027
Time Commitment:
16-24 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need. We will do our best to accommodate course schedules.
Format:
Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from New York, NY.
Areas of Placement
Bravo Creative:
Assisting pre‑editors with promo and social video production for Reality Shows, basic editing skills desirable for screening shows, identifying and pulling shots for video projects, participate in brainstorming sessions, identify social opportunities for reality shows, participate in pre‑production and observe shoot day production for video shoots as needed, attend daily approval and production meetings.
Bravo Design:
Using existing keyart, the design intern will use Photoshop to produce 75‑200 assets needed for each show, creating consumer‑facing layouts and supporting social media feeds.
Bravo Digital Video:
Working alongside Producers/Editors on the Audience Growth & Development video team, focusing on Bravo. Responsibilities include editing Instagram stories/reels, behind‑the‑scenes videos, YouTube mash‑ups, and researching multi‑episode projects; developing creative ideas for upcoming interviews and shows.
Entertainment Photography:
Supporting East Coast Photo Producers and Post‑Production Manager with basic photo editing, reviewing photographer units/episodic coverage, sorting and captioning talent, handling post‑production process, and assisting with in‑person events.
Late Night Digital Design:
Developing premium original artwork and marketing designs with Photoshop and Illustrator; occasionally creating motion graphics, delivering high‑quality creative assets for multiple platforms, and maintaining brand style guides.
Peacock Creative Marketing:
Overseeing and producing promotional material for original shows across Peacock, including trailers, promos, digital assets, social pieces, key art, and more; basic video editing knowledge preferred.
Peacock Design:
Working on key art and on‑platform assets; supporting the full lifecycle of entertainment marketing, photo selects, compositing, and campaign asset creation.
Basic Requirements
Must be actively enrolled in a degree‑granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027). December 2026 graduates are not eligible for this Academic Year Internship Program.
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future.
Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027.
Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F‑1 CPT, F‑1 OPT, J‑1, M‑1) are not eligible to apply unless they can change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.
NBCUniversal is an E‑Verify company, requiring all employees to have an active Social Security number. Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete an I‑9 form with a Social Security number within 3 days of hire.
Desired Characteristics
Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Interest in typography, branding and layout, publicity and/or marketing preferred.
Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), AVID, DAM systems a plus.
Understanding of vector manipulation, photo editing, Photoshop manipulation, animation, video editing, and typography layout.
Education in Motion, Visual or Interactive Design for Digital is required for some roles.
Strong working knowledge of social platforms: Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and Facebook.
Portfolio demonstrating strong visual taste and execution (poster work, photography, or conceptual comps is a plus).
Basic understanding of file prep, color, and output considerations for digital and print.
Passion for entertainment and pop culture.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
Highly organized and eager to learn everything photo related.
The hourly rate for student interns is $19.00.
