
Structural Designer IV

Overview
TRC is seeking a Structural Designer with strong design capabilities to join our growing Power Engineering Practice. The successful candidate will have 10+ years of civil design experience, specifically with AutoCAD, in support of a wide variety of structural engineering projects. The successful candidate will provide a design role working with other designers and structural engineers on a variety of technically challenging projects primarily structural engineering projects associated with large utility and renewable energy clients.
Responsibilities
Provide structural design services in a variety of applications including structural steel detailing, reinforced concrete, and masonry. Design services shall include concept-level to final design, including the preparation of layouts, details, specifications, and bidding documents necessary for permitting and contractor bidding and construction.
Preparation of conceptual drawings, final construction level drawings, detail sheets, connection detailing, foundation design including shallow and deep foundations.
Ensuring quality standards are maintained on every project deliverable.
Qualifications
10+ years of engineering experience with primary focus in structural design (consulting experience preferred).
AutoCAD and Microstation expertise.
Ability to work independently or in a project team with demonstrated excellence in oral communications, analytical, professional judgement, and team building skills.
Willingness to learn.
Beneficial Skills/Certifications
Experience with substation design
Experience with 3D design software such as Inventor, Navisworks, etc.
Experience with steel structure detailing including connection design.
Experience working closely with structural engineers to incorporate comments efficiently and reduce iterative comment cycles.

Compensation In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range USD $90,896.00 - USD $117,000.00 /Yr.
