Business Continuity Manager, North America
CHEP, atlanta, ga, United States
️ Disruption happens. Resilience is built.
CHEP North America is hiring a Business Continuity Manager to help us strengthen how we prepare for, respond to, and recover from unexpected events—keeping our people safe, protecting our network, and continuing to serve customers when it matters most.
This is a high‑visibility role supporting the Brambles Business Continuity & Crisis Management Framework aligned to ISO 22301:2019 , partnering closely with the Business Continuity Lead for the Americas to build and elevate operational resilience across North America.
What you’ll do (real impact, not “check‑the‑box”)
- ✅ Build and maintain Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) across operations, service centers, and functional teams
- ✅ Run exercises, simulations, and drills so plans are tested, ready, and actionable
- ✅ Help lead the business through crisis / incident response , ensuring fast, coordinated recovery
- ✅ Partner cross‑functionally to map critical processes + dependencies (and strengthen weak points)
- ✅ Deliver training and workshops so continuity becomes part of “how we work,” not a separate program
- ✅ Capture lessons learned and drive corrective actions that stick—and raise program maturity over time
- ✅ Stay current on BC/CM best practices and emerging trends to continuously improve the program
What success looks like
- 100% BIAs in place and kept current
- 100% BCPs in place, updated, and routinely tested
- Disruptions managed effectively through tested BC/CM/Incident plans
- Prepared and trained crisis/incident teams at site/country/regional levels
- Corrective actions + lessons learned shared and implemented quickly
- Readiness to support continued ISO 22301:2019 alignment/certification (if pursued)
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Risk, Operational Resilience, or related)
- 7–10 years in Business Continuity / Risk / Resilience (matrixed, multi‑site, or global environments preferred)
- 5+ years crisis and/or incident management (and crisis communications exposure)
- 3+ years Disaster Recovery experience + solid IT fundamentals
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 22301 frameworks and methodologies
- Influence, facilitation, and change leadership—comfortable challenging the status quo
