Maintenance Director

Silver Birch of Avondale is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Director to join our team! You will lead the community’s maintenance and housekeeping teams.

The Maintenance Director ensures that the community is in good, working order, including preventative maintenance and repairs of the building’s infrastructure, oversees contracted services, ensures a high level of cleanliness and sanitation, turns apartments for new residents, and oversees the safety program.

Silver Birch is an Assisted Living Community dedicated to providing the best care, compassion, and customer service to seniors in our communities.

What we’re looking for

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in building management maintenance, including responsibility for mechanical equipment and maintenance.
  • One (1) or more years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Experience in Senior Living, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of building plans, including basic utilities information.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals.
  • Current and valid fingerprint clearance card, or ability to obtain.
  • Technical certification or degree, preferred.
  • Ability to manage operating expenses.
  • Strong customer service orientation including experience working with customers.
  • Ability to use good judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt schedule to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours to ensure quality customer experience and to meet deadlines.
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
