This position manages the procurement process, accounts payable and receivable, and all financial operations for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.

What You'll Do
- Serve as manager of financial activities within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, including ticket revenue and sponsorship payments.
- Assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations with overall financial management, revenue management, and internal controls.
- Prepare data for Federal (Department of Education/EADA) and NCAA Agreed Upon Procedures reports.
- Monitor the operational proforma and prepare the long‑term plan for the Department.
- Act as financial advisor to 40 units, including 18 varsity sports, on budgeting and purchasing procedures.
- Oversee all purchasing operations, ensuring compliance with institutional laws and regulations.
- Process invoices through payment services, direct pay, purchase orders, and intra‑User accounts.
- Compile complex financial information from all WVU systems to prepare reports for analysis, budgeting, and auditing.
- Coordinate and process daily deposits for all non‑ticket related revenues exceeding $130 million.
- Provide accurate financial data and analysis to coaches and senior leadership.
- Back‑up p‑card coordinator duties, including maintenance of cardholder changes, audit of procurement card purchases, and processing of service agreements.
- Sign authority for WVU Game Advance and WVU Clearing accounts through Huntington Online Banking.
- Enter checks in the positive pay system.
- Perform stop payments and resolve issues with PCPS, Treasury Operations, and Tax and Accounting.
- Prepare statistical reports, financial statements, and reconciliations of revenue and expenditures.
- Execute ACH transactions to the WVU Foundation, State revenue accounts, and game ticket revenue deposits.
- Manage all Clearing Account activity, including ACH deposits and Big 12 Conference Student Assistance Fund transactions.
- Use Paciolan system for ticket revenue deposits, refunds, and management of ticket buyer data.
- Assist the Athletic Ticket Office and Marketing Department with the Student Ticketing database.
- Reconcile team and business unit expenses and prepare similar financial reports.
- Develop and rehearse the annual revenue and expense budget for intercollegiate athletics.
- Prepare and present reports to internal and external groups.
- Reconcile outside bank transactions related to Paciolan ticket sales.
- Manage all WVU Foundation activity for the Athletic Business Office.
- Reconcile credit card transactions related to Paciolan ticket sales.
- Work with the University Tax Office for staff ticket taxes.
- Conduct daily reconciliation of revenue transactions to ensure timely, accurate processing.
- Reconcile ticket office revenue to cash basis for deposits to State and WVU Foundation accounts.
- Serve as liaison for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics with designated University offices.
- Analyze entries, research and correct discrepancies, and recommend solutions.
- Maintain knowledge of all rules, regulations, and policies of WVU, the Big 12 Conference, and the NCAA.
- Represent the University with dignity, integrity, and ethical behavior.
- Demonstrate a cooperative attitude toward all sports within the intercollegiate athletic program.
- Adapt to changing responsibilities, make independent decisions, and develop new approaches.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information related to student‑athletes, coaches, and staff.
- Execute related duties of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by the Supervisor and Senior Associate Athletic Director.
- Manage professional and personal time to meet sensitive issues, tight deadlines, and on‑call availability.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, finance, sports management, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience involving generally accepted accounting practices, financial reporting, interpretation, and problem resolution.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and database‑related programs.
- Graduate Assistant experience acceptable.
- Any equivalent combination of related education and experience will be considered.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, including Deans, Directors, staff, vendors, and University administration.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
