About The Role

eBay is seeking a dedicated and dynamic product marketer to drive inbound product marketing and outbound go‑to‑market strategy for the shipping experience on eBay. This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of the eBay Product Marketing team working with product and commercial teams passionate about improving the shipping experience for eBay’s sellers and buyers. This role will partner cross‑functionally with product, design, research, analytics, marketing, communications, customer service, and sales/market teams.

To be successful, you are an experienced Product Marketer with expertise in developing value propositions, positioning and generating demand for products and tools, ideally in an e‑commerce or marketplace setting. You are also experienced in co‑creating go‑to‑market and marketing plans with external partners. Experience with small and medium sized businesses as well as B2C or C2C e‑commerce marketplaces preferred.

What You Will Accomplish

  • You are responsible for the product value proposition narrative, messaging, and go‑to‑market strategy for the shipping experience on eBay for both buyers and sellers, ensuring customer success on the platform.
  • You will approach go‑to‑market in an end‑to‑end manner to ensure customers receive relevant and significant communications at the right time and place across in‑product, marketing, PR, market communities, sales, customer service, and partner messaging.
  • Influence product roadmaps by synthesizing market, customer and competitive insights, build audience segmentations and opportunity sizing.
  • Create customer feedback loops during the product and marketing development process to refine the product narrative and value proposition articulation.
  • Develop product value propositions, narratives, customer messaging, naming and external facing proof points.
  • Lead the go‑to‑market strategy and planning for product launches and then lead through channel experts to ensure execution and impact measurement. Track customer engagement, product adoption, and business success. Partner with channel experts across in‑product content, marketing, PR communications, customer service, in‑market teams, and sales channels to generate demand.
  • Identify internal product market fit tracking metrics; synthesize customer feedback to provide signal amidst the noise across the product life cycle: development, launch, and optimization/ expansion. Build up the value proposition using the voice of the customer to optimize product marketing messaging and to advise on product recommendations.
  • Define key metrics for success, and track progress against goals for the product launches and in‑market growth adoption of existing products or services.
  • Build scalable GTM frameworks, playbooks, and GenAI workflows, improving speed, consistency, and decision quality while keeping the customer journey at the center of every program.
  • Codify findings from each rotation, crafting reusable templates and tools that can be adopted by vertical PMMs or automated through AI solutions.

What You Will Bring

  • 8 years of experience in product marketing, with at least 3 years leading company‑wide initiatives. Proven track record of developing product and go‑to‑market strategies at e‑commerce companies or within seller‑focused organizations at e‑commerce companies.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation, complete projects with excellence.
  • Success working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with customer research techniques.
  • Proficiency with AI, automation, and data‑driven tools, with a curiosity to test and scale emerging GenAI applications for PMM workflows, that enable scalability and agility.
  • A builder’s mentality ‑ hands‑on, collaborative, and eager to design, test, and codify operating models that elevate the PMM function at scale.
