General Sales Manager

Opportunity Summary: We are seeking a General Sales Manager to develop new customers and expand sales to existing customers at all levels. This is a unique opportunity to lead an aggressive, high‑energy sales team that is a leader in the Diesel Engine, Transmission, and related Parts industry.

Job Duties:

  • Leads professional and aggressive sales team to grow W.W.Williams service and parts client and perspective client base, informing them of sales, promotions and opportunities.
  • Lead the prospecting, cultivation and successful closing of new national and regional clients and accounts.
  • Educating and training customers on our products and service offerings.
  • Plan national and regional product and service seminars.
  • Developing successful sales programs for the W.W.Williams Parts Distribution business nationally and in local market area.
  • Utilize CRM and other reporting tools to effectively manage and increase sales opportunities and maximize revenues.
  • Complete related special projects in conjunction with market area managers.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales team leadership, development and strategy experience.
  • Demonstrated professional selling skills.
  • Demonstrated professional presentation skills and ability to train large groups.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent sales/marketing experience.
  • 10+ years of previous selling experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Daily and some overnight travel required.
