Pay Range: $40,000-45,000 annually
Job Summary
The central focus of a Business Development Coordinator (BDC) is to support one or more Vice President(s) of Mortgage Lending (VP) with a variety of tasks related to increasing their production, efficiency, and quality of work. BDC tasks are divided into three main components:

Marketing support

Business Plan and Referral Partner strategy

Follow‑up and communication with current and future lead sources

BDCs are not licensed and may NOT perform any activity requiring a license. All marketing activities are performed under the supervision and guidance of the VP they support, and in the VP's name. BDCs do not receive access or credentials to systems reserved for licensed employees, such as locking loans, taking applications, or representing themselves as able to perform those activities through independent marketing or other avenues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Help VP(s) add value and growth to their origination volume

Generate and execute the VP's business plan, including lead generation ideas and sources

Attend, coordinate, plan, and execute monthly events in coordination with the Marketing Department for Realtor and other partner engagement to increase the VP's brand and relationships in the community

Provide phone and email support: check messages, return calls, and correspondence; maintain organized files and work environment

Maintain calendars and schedule meetings, closings, and create calendar invitations; follow up timely with referral partners

Contact and follow up with Realtors and referral partners; provide marketing materials, gate‑less sign‑ups and thank‑you cards; attend weekly Broker Open Houses on behalf of the VP they support

Enter the VP's referral partners into the company's CRM, document and track increases in lead sources, and suggest changes to the business plan

Manage the database, including coordinating monthly correspondence to borrowers who recently closed a loan

Complete tasks in a timely manner, working amicably with others and the POD

Perform additional duties as assigned

Exhibit excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic

Show exceptional verbal and written communication and listening skills; convey information up and down management levels and influence others

Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment requiring strong organizational and analytical skills

Display excellent time‑management skills and follow‑through with ability to multitask and meet deadlines

Have familiarity with mortgage industry and GRI loan processes

Maintain strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, etc.) and loan origination systems (preferably Encompass)

Think strategically to solve problems or challenges with loan files
