Job Description & Essential Functions of the Marketing Manager, Pro AV
Job Description: The Marketing Manager, Pro AV develops and manages the execution of Absen’s corporate marketing strategy, including digital marketing, customer relationship management practices, brand guidelines, and customer experience. Helps foster a positive public perception of the company through effective public relations that influence public opinion and/or promote ideas, products, and services. Develops and implements all marketing strategies through various mediums. Prepares visual marketing materials by designing art and copy for multiple media venues (e.g., digital, print, etc.). Manages and supervises all US marketing team members.

This role works closely with Absen’s HQ marketing team, providing regular reporting on NA Pro AV marketing trends, campaigns, and strategic plans to ensure global alignment. The Marketing Manager, Pro AV must be comfortable with a dynamic marketing budget that may be adjusted based on regional sales performance and shifts in Absen’s global marketing strategy, requiring flexibility to align with HQ planning cycles.

Essential Functions:

Develop marketing strategies for North America, including a monthly marketing promotion plan, communicating with marketing department at HQ to ensure branding and messaging consistency, and regular review.

Coordinate marketing activities in North America, including large exhibitions, marketing events, webinars, partner activities, etc. Supports the sales team to ensure the normal process of activities.

Manage PR and social media accounts, increase brand exposure and reputation, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information output.

Keep informed of industry trends, marketing actions of competitors and partners, creating regular reports and feedback.

Excellent written skills. Be able to provide the corresponding articles and case studies to magazine media.

Focus on benchmark cases marketing and brand promotion, including video filming.

Photo shooting and video editing abilities are preferred.

Conducts pricing research and analysis to ensure competitive product and service pricing. Keep track of and balance budgets.

Collaborate regularly with HQ marketing team to report North America Pro AV market trends, campaign performance, and strategic marketing plans; adjust local tactics based on global strategy and budget fluctuations tied to sales achievement.

Negotiates contracts for services.

Coordinate with the Sales team as needed.

Interviews and trains new marketing staff in the department.

Oversees the daily workflow of the department.

Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Handles discipline of marketing employees in accordance with company policy.

All other duties assigned that the employee is capable of performing.

Fluent in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

Fluency in Adobe Acrobat, Premiere Pro, and After Effects preferred

Experience using WordPress

Excellent critical and strategic thinking skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, when handling marketing materials, demo equipment, and event shipments.

Must be able to stand for extended periods (up to approximately four hours) during tradeshows, demonstrations, and company events, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Must be able to assist with setup and teardown of booths, displays, and demo equipment during events.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or other equivalent degree

Experience with LED/AV preferred

3+ years of digital marketing experience; experience in B2B and/or commercial technology environments preferred

5+ years’ experience in Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications fields

Experience with graphic design for both print and digital channels, including prepress and processes

Experience in video production and editing processes

Strong background in Adobe Creative Suite products including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro

Language Requirements:

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
