
FIG Business Development Associate

Business Development Associate – U.S. Financial Institutions Group (FIG) – Banks and Insurance Companies
We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Associate to support our FIG expansion efforts across the U.S. and Bermuda. This role works closely with Account Managers to identify, qualify and manage business development opportunities across investment strategies, and support broader growth goals of the group.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide qualitative and quantitative industry analysis on banks and insurance companies.
Develop corporate‑finance‑based frameworks to position investment strategies.
Lead or support requests for proposals, due‑diligence questionnaires, and model portfolios.
Craft detailed business plans incorporating competitor analysis across target strategies.
Participate in client interactions, conferences, and support material preparation.
Example Responsibilities
Build and maintain targeted marketing materials to support new and existing business and advance FIG‑specific product strategy initiatives.
Actively track, analyze and report on PIMCO FIG investment flows, product growth trends, and market penetration.
Perform industry, company and competitor research and analysis.
Identify business development opportunities and support meetings with FIG Account Managers and product counterparts to develop targeted approaches.
Develop knowledge of PIMCO’s and product‑specific investment philosophy, process, strategy and performance history.
Drive marketing outreach efforts and support presentations.
Key Relationships
Prospective institutional clients across banks, insurance companies and consultants.
PIMCO investment professionals including Account Managers, Product & Solution Strategists, Credit Research Analysts and Portfolio Managers.
Various departments within the U.S. and globally including Alternatives, Analytics, Communications, Compliance, Executive Office, Legal, Marketing, Operations, Technology and Wealth Management.
Qualifications
Four‑year college degree with a preferred major in Business/Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
Progress toward CFA designation or advanced degree program is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with index‑provider databases, query tools, Bloomberg, SNL Financial and SQL.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to lead prospect base and explore opportunities for new asset growth.
Solutions‑driven, self‑starter with high energy, well organized and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Entrepreneurial skills and outstanding relationship building and interpersonal skills.
Collaborative with positive and upbeat demeanor.

Salary Range
Salary Range: $90,000.00 – $115,000.00
