What You’ll Do
Bring the customer into focus
Develop audience segmentation models based on production level, demographics, engagement behavior, customer base, intent and lifecycle stage
Work with marketing colleagues to develop targeted profiles and improve outreach strategies based on geography, production level, and engagement behavior
Surface insights about target segment needs, timing, and decision drivers
Help the team better understand who engages or converts and why
Analyze marketing performance across paid, owned and earned channels (media, CRM, web, partnerships)
Translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations the business can act on immediately
Find and recommend traditional and nontraditional new sources of data
Identify drivers of pipeline fill, lead quality, conversion, and lifetime value.
Own the marketing measurement ecosystem
Build and maintain dashboards on key metrics that actually get used. This includes creating and managing data infrastructure to track and report on prospect marketing performance, including CRM activity, funnel conversions, and source attribution
Define KPIs that reflect real marketing and business impact: This may include awareness and sourcing metrics, engagement and funnel efficiency, conversion and speed metrics (time to engage/time to convert), candidate experience metrics, and return on investment metrics.
Ensure data integrity across platforms (CRM, analytics tools, media platforms)
Improve acquisition and conversion performance
Partner with marketing and product teams to optimize journeys and funnels
Analyze drop-off points and recommend friction-reducing improvements
Support A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
Partner with creative and media teams to refine messaging, placements, and content using data-driven insights
Support A/B testing and ongoing experimentation to improve conversion rates and overall funnel efficiency
Work with Recruiting Operations to strengthen lead scoring, CRM integration, and data quality
What We’re Looking For
Knowledge and Skills
4+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data analytics, pr growth analytics and strategy
Strong preference for mortgage experience
Ability to turn data into clear, practical marketing insights
Hands‑on proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, Excel, BI platforms (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
Experience working with marketing data (Google Analytics, Salesforce, HubSpot, other CRM systems and paid media platforms)
Solid understanding of digital funnels and optimization, multi-channel attribution, audience segmentation, and performance marketing
Strong communication skills with the ability to make data easy to understand and useful
Comfortable working cross‑functionally with both marketing and recruiting teams
Experience in financial services, recruiting or regulated industries
Familiarity with customer journey mapping and lifecycle marketing
Exposure to experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, incrementality testing)
Read and interpret API documentation (internal and external) and independently integrate with internal and third‑party systems using secure authentication methods (OAuth, API keys, SSO). Proven experience building scalable, reliable data pipelines that unify disparate data sources into actionable insights.

As the Marketing Data Strategist focused on Loan Originator recruitment, you’ll serve as the analytical engine behind Rate’s talent marketing efforts. You’ll build and optimize data frameworks, measure marketing effectiveness across channels, and deliver reporting that helps recruiting and marketing teams scale efficiently. You’ll work closely with Recruitment marketing— from strategy and creative leadership to media and performance marketing— as well talent acquisition to ensure campaigns resonate with the right prospects and drive to our regional and sales conversion teams.
