Senior Field Technical Director – MidAtlantic Region
Cohesity is a leader in AI-powered data security and management, leveraging AI-based threat detection and secure data protection across data centers, edge, and cloud environments. We are hiring a senior architect to design and integrate Cohesity technology for enterprise customers in the MidAtlantic region.
Responsibilities
Serve as the strategic technical leader for assigned accounts, influencing both technical strategy and business outcomes.
Present Cohesity technology (deep dive) to customer executives and technical experts, explaining how it is applied in various use cases and scenarios.
Conduct discovery workshops with the customer to identify business objectives, document use cases and requirements, and assess operational constraints.
Develop high‑level architectural alternatives, review them with customers, and deliver written design plans to meet the customer’s needs, especially at scale, and consider special project phases such as migration and operational cut‑over.
Plan and conduct technical demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs) with the account SE.
Provide technical information for RFPs and RFIs.
Provide technical review for all account team proposals.
Liaise with Product Management and Engineering to represent customer/field requirements and resolve specific issues.
Lead cross‑functional “tiger teams” to address strategic customer challenges and opportunities.
Mentor SEs and other technical team members to raise the bar for technical excellence in the region.
Act as a technical point of escalation for all architectural and design decisions.
Act as a leader in the territory and across the FTD squad.
Drive results by leading product‑focused cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
15+ years of experience in IT.
Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision‑making.
Strong knowledge of storage, backup, virtualization, and Linux command‑line.
Experience with cyber‑security and cyber resilience.
Preferred: Disaster Recovery / Business Continuance.
Preferred: Database Protection and Recovery.
Preferred: Distributed Systems.
Preferred: Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Preferred: Layer 2 Networking and Firewalls.
Preferred: Scripting / Automation.
Preferred: Visio or equivalent application.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Ability to work cross‑functionally and run meetings to achieve a plan.
Ability to manage projects and drive to a deadline.
Expected travel: 25%.
Pay Range: $220,800.00 – $276,000.00
