About You
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you thrive as a trusted, pragmatic legal advisor who partners closely with diverse business and operational teams to provide clear, timely, and practical guidance that keeps complex organizations moving forward. You balance legal risk with operational realities, exercising sound judgment, strategic thinking, and a deep respect for governance, accountability, and stewardship of public resources. What You Will Do
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to Massport’s business and operational teams, providing timely, accurate counsel that supports continuity of operations across aviation, maritime, and administrative functions.
- Provide strategic guidance on procurements, contracts, and development initiatives, ensuring alignment with Massport’s policies, legal requirements, and organizational objectives.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders to navigate complex legal, regulatory, and risk considerations, translating legal frameworks into practical, actionable solutions.
- Act as a versatile in‑house practitioner by anticipating legal and regulatory developments, supporting governance processes, and helping safeguard the Authority’s public interests.
What You Offer
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required.
- Must be admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant or transferable experience in a public agency, corporate, or law‑firm setting with knowledge and skill in legal analysis, document drafting, and contracts law. Experience in public procurement/contract law is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in legal analysis, document drafting and administrative, regulatory, and constitutional law.
