In-House Counsel

Overview

In-House Litigation & Restructuring Focus — Compensation: $180,000+ base salary plus performance bonus. Our nation-wide plastic surgery practice is seeking a highly skilled and motivated In-House Assistant Attorney/Litigator with restructuring experience to join our growing legal team.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance and support to the practice on a wide range of matters, including restructuring, litigation, healthcare regulations, contracts, employment law, corporate governance, and risk management .
• Review, draft, and negotiate complex legal documents including contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct legal research and stay current on developments in bankruptcy, restructuring, and healthcare law.
• Collaborate with executives, managers, and department heads to provide practical legal advice.
• Represent the practice in litigation, restructuring proceedings, and other legal forums as necessary.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and oversee external legal matters.
• Assist in developing and implementing corporate legal policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in New York (required) and New Jersey (preferred).
• Significant experience in restructuring, litigation, and business law .
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience required.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws and compliance requirements a plus.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal matters with strategic and business-minded thinking.
• Excellent research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
