
Director Corporate Tax

The Role
The Director of Corporate Tax will lead corporate tax strategy, compliance, reporting, and risk management across U.S. federal, state, local, and Canadian jurisdictions. This role partners closely with Accounting, Treasury, Legal, Operations, and external advisors, and plays a key role in tax planning, M&A support, audits, and financial reporting within a complex, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead corporate tax strategy and planning to optimize the effective tax rate while ensuring compliance
- Oversee U.S. and Canadian income tax compliance, including federal, state, local, and indirect taxes
- Manage quarterly and annual tax provisions under GAAP (ASC 740)
- Lead tax audits and inquiries with U.S. and Canadian tax authorities
- Evaluate tax impacts of acquisitions, restructuring, and cross‑border transactions
- Develop and mentor tax team members and enhance tax processes, systems, and controls
- Support integration with parent company tax strategies and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's in Tax preferred)
- CPA required
- 10+ years of progressive corporate tax experience (public accounting and/or large multi‑entity organizations)
- Strong technical expertise in U.S. federal, state, and Canadian tax, including ASC 740
- Proven leadership experience and ability to partner with senior finance and business leaders
- Experience with tax systems such as OneSource, Planful, Power BI, Blackline, or similar tools preferred
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is noted in this posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
