Represents business stakeholders to elicit, understand, analyze, document, refine, and communicate business needs so business and technical delivery teams can build effective solutions. Applies a strong understanding of customer needs, business vision, and strategy to prioritize investments, business value, and delivery outcomes. Works across multiple development methodologies, including iterative Agile and sequential Waterfall programs, projects, and hybrid variations. Serves as the business requirements expert by engaging and managing subject matter experts from across the business. Acts as the day-to-day business decision-maker, providing continuous guidance and direction to the execution team. Prioritizes execution team work to align with sponsor and executive business strategies. Leads, manages, or coordinates activities required to complete business requirements and ensure proper documentation and validation of metrics in alignment with enterprise controls and delivery methodology. Collaborates with business and IT delivery teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, including business and operational risks. Escalates issues appropriately and develops, recommends, and supports effective solution options. Works across multiple technology domains, including infrastructure, mobile platforms, customer-facing systems, vendor partnerships, and third-party software. Serves as a subject matter expert within a specific business or system domain as required. Identifies, engages, and influences business stakeholders and subject matter experts to drive alignment and successful outcomes. Partners with business and enterprise stakeholders to understand and validate business strategy, vision, and customer needs. Collaborates with sponsors, stakeholders, and IT teams to facilitate, define, and document business processes while gaining an in-depth understanding of success measures, risks, and controls related to improvement initiatives. Acts as the direct representative of the business with delivery teams, ensuring the customer perspective is consistently reinforced throughout the product lifecycle. Works with business process owners to define, manage, and track metrics for benefits realization, adoption, and operational risk. Assists with project-level planning activities related to schedule, scope, and resource considerations. Leads, collaborates with, and motivates cross-functional teams including UX partners, designers, business analysts, developers, testers, and other contributors to deliver solutions aligned with program and product roadmaps. Manages, prioritizes, and assesses the impact of all work items, including new features, enhancements, and defects, and makes decisions to implement, defer, or reject work at the project level. Reviews, prioritizes, and incorporates stakeholder feedback and new requirements as appropriate. Reviews and formally accepts or declines development deliverables to ensure completion of defined acceptance criteria. Prepares the business for change by providing enablement strategies, performance metrics, and risk mitigation approaches to support adoption and operational readiness. Coaches and mentors less experienced Digital Product Owners and team members.
