Job Overview This role aims to address novel and complex legal and business issues confronting a fast‑growing company committed to innovation. As Commercial Counsel, Subscriptions, you will serve as a trusted legal partner to our government sales organization and management, focusing on revenue‑generating transactions for LinkedIn’s Subscriptions business teams.
Roles and Responsibilities Mode:
Hybrid
Independently draft, review, and negotiate technology‑related agreements including subscription agreements, data processing agreements, channel partner agreements, order forms, addenda, and NDAs
Collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, Product, and other cross‑functional teams on approvals and escalations to close sales transactions on time and per internal policies
Act as trusted legal partner to LinkedIn government sales organization and drive strategic projects impacting business results and sales opportunities
Optimize contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation/management processes for the Legal & Public Policy team to create leverage and efficiency
Participate in the Legal & Public Policy team’s pro bono initiatives
Eligibility Criteria Candidates with:
J.D. and admission to the bar or ability to practice in‑house in your office location
3+ years' experience as a technology transactions attorney, including software licensing, cloud services, and/or AI‑related transactions
Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate agreements independently with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships across disciplines and seniority levels
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with government sales transactions, including federal, state, local, and education agencies
Experience with indirect sales transactions, including channel partners, resellers, and distributors
Proficiency in data privacy and security frameworks
Familiarity with FAR/DFARS provisions
