Director, Resourcing & Creative Operations
Billion Dollar Boy Limited, New York, NY, United States
Job Overview
Billion Dollar Boy is seeking a Director of Resourcing and Creative Operations to serve as the heartbeat of our US agency. This is a strategic, non-billable leadership role designed to bridge the gap between creative ambition and operational excellence. You will be the architect of our human capital, ensuring our strategy, creative, and design teams are balanced, inspired, and utilized effectively.
Main duties and Responsibilities
Resource Management & Capacity Planning
Own the "master view" of agency capacity, balancing immediate campaign needs with long-term growth forecasting.
Lead weekly resourcing meetings to resolve conflicts and prioritize high-value projects.
Partner with the Senior Director of PM to identify when to flex with freelance talent vs. making full-time hires.
Process Architecture & Craft
Co-author and refine the creative lifecycle (from brief to delivery) in partnership with the SVP of Creative Strategy and Senior Creative Director.
Standardize workflows across Strategy, Creative, Design, and PM to ensure "The BDB Way" is scalable and efficient.
Technology Leadership (Float)
Serve as the Executive Product Owner for the rollout and integration of Float.
Ensure the platform provides "source of truth" data for utilization, capacity, and project health.
Train the agency on best practices and ensure 100% adoption across cross-functional teams.
Financial & Operational Excellence
Analyze utilization trends to provide the leadership team with actionable insights on agency health.
Bridge the gap between creative output and financial performance, ensuring projects stay within budgeted hours.
Job Specification Essential Experience & Skills
Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive experience in creative operations, resource management, or program management within a fast-paced agency (Influencer, Social, or B2C preferred).
The "Architect" Mindset: Proven track record of building processes from scratch, not just maintaining existing ones.
Tech Savvy: Expert-level experience with resource management software (specific experience with Runn.com is a significant plus) and tech-stack integrations.
Leadership: Ability to influence executive stakeholders (SVP level) and lead with empathy in a high-pressure creative environment.
Analytical Rigor: You love a good spreadsheet and can translate complex data into a clear narrative for the leadership team.
Attributes
High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Excitement to be part of a tight-knit yet growing team and industry
Equal Opportunities
Recruit, develop and retain the most talented people, regardless of their background and make best use of their talents;
Not discriminate unlawfully against any person;
Select the best person for the job in terms of qualifications and abilities.
This sets out our approach to equal opportunities and the avoidance of discrimination at work.
A part of what we offer at BDB is a considerate suite of competitive benefits, which will be discussed with you throughout the interview process
