Job Summary
Telemundo Nashville, operated within WSMV 4, is seeking a bilingual Multimedia Journalist to connect with Middle Tennessee’s Spanish‑speaking community and deliver impactful, platform‑optimized content.
Duties / Responsibilities
Develop, research, and pitch original enterprise stories that resonate with Spanish‑speaking audiences in Middle Tennessee
Shoot, write, edit, and present stories for Telemundo Nashville’s newscasts and digital platforms
Deliver clear, confident, and engaging live reports in the field and in‑studio
Optimize content for WSMV and Telemundo platforms, including broadcast, streaming, website, app, and social media
Build strong contacts within the Spanish‑language community to enterprise meaningful local stories
Participate in daily editorial meetings and contribute story ideas and angles
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as a multimedia journalist or general assignment reporter
Bilingual (Spanish/English) with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
Strong live reporting ability with solid news judgment
Proven shooting and editing skills
Understanding of digital and social media trends and best practices
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
