The Marketing Center of Excellence (COE) - Project Management Director will have primary responsibility for helping ensure full development, integration and alignment of the firm’s major go-to-market campaigns and thought leadership pieces across the enterprise. Specifically, within the marketing COE, this role will help drive integration and development of project management processes between thought leadership & editorial, creative, and digital/demand generation workstreams. Across the full marketing team, this role will ensure consistency in how these campaigns are deployed and delivered through the service line, industry, and regional marketing teams.
The Project Management Director will play a central role in helping deliver a comprehensive and consistent approach to annual marketing planning, campaign intake, and campaign management across the marketing team. The person will partner with Industry, Service Line and Regional MBP’s to help leverage a OneCBIZ approach to the structure and delivery of major campaigns and thought leadership activations across the enterprise. Critical to this role will be the ability to partner with the VP, Go-to-Market and Demand Generation lead to identify, track, and report on key ROI and metrics and results from these campaigns. The Marketing COE Project Management Director will help drive integration and consistency of National CBIZ events and industry sponsorships.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
- In partnership with the VP, Go-to-Market, helps structure and communicate the annual marketing planning process with a focus on communications, process development, documentation development, integration across the marketing team, and reporting.
- Drive the development of the project management function within the COE and integration of the annual marketing planning process within the workflow management tool (Asana), ensuring consistency and timeliness across the marketing team.
- Shares best practices and successes on the marketing planning process and tools with Marketing Business Partners, the marketing COE, and team members.
- In partnership with the VP, Go-to-Market, helps ensure consistency in approach and use of the marketing campaign intake form and processes, as well as develop comprehensive project management metrics and reports.
- Ensures a consistent approach to marketing activations and best practices across the Marketing COE to help drive repeatable, best in class approaches to campaigns.
- Demonstrates an ability to foster collaboration across the marketing team by addressing and bridging differences in organizational practices and processes, unifying the best of legacy marketing practices.
- Supports all CBIZ-wide campaign and growth initiatives. Partners with Marketing Business Partners across Growth Strategy, Industry Strategy, Business Development, Go to Market Activation and Communications to ensure we are creating, activating and measuring the most impactful go to market strategies based on growth priorities and aligned to the broader CBIZ-wide business goals.

- Serves as a Brand and Marketing ambassador.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- 10+ years of B2B marketing experience. Industry-specific experience in professional services or financial services is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience managing a team; experience managing remote team members preferred.
- Strong proficiency and experience using Asana, Wrike or similar project management applications.
- Attention to detail, highly organized with strong analytical skills.
- Proven track record of driving successful marketing strategies across multiple channels.
- Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; appropriately manages expectations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and inspire teams in a collaborative environment.
- Energetic, creative consultative and solutions oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office Suite; Salesforce experience a plus
- Availability to travel up to 25% based on business and client needs.

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate or specialty degree preferred
- 8 years experience
- 6 years supervisory experience (if applicable)
- Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Demonstrated ability to communicate
