Essential Functions
- Oversee and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and multi‑state tax engagements, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance
- Provide high‑level tax planning, structuring, and strategic advisory services for closely held businesses and high‑net‑worth individuals
- Serve as a key advisor and primary relationship leader for major client accounts
- Research advanced tax matters and develop practical, well‑supported solutions for clients and firm leadership
- Lead engagement planning, risk assessment, and workflow coordination across multiple teams and offices
- Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, profitability, and service quality
- Mentor and develop managers and senior staff, fostering technical growth and leadership capability
- Collaborate with partners on firm strategy, capacity planning, and long‑term growth initiatives
- Identify and pursue opportunities for expanded client services and new business development
- Represent the firm in networking, community, and professional organizations
- Stay ahead of tax law developments and guide internal training efforts on emerging issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s degree strongly preferred)
- Active CPA license (required)
- Minimum of 8–10 years of public accounting experience with progressive tax leadership responsibility
- Demonstrated experience managing complex client relationships and large tax engagements
- Strong technical tax expertise across individual, corporate, partnership, and multi‑state taxation
- Proven leadership ability with experience mentoring managers and building high‑performing teams
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
- Confident, polished communicator capable of advising executives and business owners
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven, high‑performance environment
