
Financial Director

Nextier Health Group is seeking a Director of Finance to lead and oversee the financial operations of our growing network of skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.
Position Overview
The Director of Finance will be responsible for all financial functions across the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, revenue cycle oversight, and regulatory compliance. This individual will partner closely with facility leadership to improve performance, manage costs, and optimize reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across all facilities
- Provide actionable financial insights to executive leadership
- Monitor key performance indicators including census, payer mix, labor costs, and margins
Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee monthly financial close and reporting processes
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements and internal controls
- Present financial performance and trends to leadership
Revenue Cycle & Cash Flow
- Oversee AP
- Monitor Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement
- Manage cash flow
Compliance & Cost Reporting
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare financial regulations
- Oversee Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting processes
- Coordinate audits and external financial reviews
Operational Support
- Partner with Administrators and regional leaders to improve facility performance
- Analyze labor, agency usage, and operational efficienciesIdentify opportunities to increase revenue and reduce costs
Qualifications
- 7+ years of finance/accounting experience, with leadership responsibility
- Prior experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or healthcare required
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
Preferred
- CPA or MBA
- Experience in multi-facility healthcare operations
- Background in owner-operated or growth-focused organizations
