Overview
Our client is looking for a seasoned Tax Manager(R&D Tax Credits) to lead client delivery and help scale a growing advisory practice. You’ll join a firm serving privately held and VC/PE-backed companies nationwide, with real visibility, strong mentorship, and clear runway for advancement. This is an end-to-end leadership role—owning engagements, developing teams, and helping build a modern, process-driven practice in a remote-flexible environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead R&D Tax Credit studies from kickoff through delivery
- Manage timelines, documentation, and client communications
- Supervise and develop project teams (typically 2–5 contributors)
- Improve processes and help scale a growing practice
- Support growth through upsell/cross-sell and technical sales support
Qualifications
- 5–6+ years relevant tax experience with R&D credit delivery leadership
- CPA or EA required (JD acceptable)
- Strong client-facing skills and project leadership
- Experience with other credits/incentives (e.g., CHIPS, state/local programs) is a plus
