Structural Designer

Join our growing Structural team as a Structural Designer. In this role you will work on various structural design projects with state and local transportation agencies. As a Designer you will perform engineering models, analysis and/or designs, and supporting calculations/documentation. You will also coordinate the drafting of project elements for various clients. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Location
This role will be located at any of our Pennsylvania offices - Pottsville, Allentown, King of Prussia, or Wilkes-Barre.

The Impact You Will Have

Collect and assimilate data and perform modeling, analysis and/or design calculations of project elements.

Draw design details under direction of Project Managers.

Compute quantities and demonstrate awareness of relationships to pay items.

Organize calculations to be included in design files, following project standards.

Coordinate drafting of an element.

Perform field or site visits as needed.

Develop knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of applicable CADD and Microsoft software.

What You Will Need

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.

E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred.

Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office products.

Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.

Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written – e-mails, project memos, reports, etc.)

Detailed and organized individual who thrives in environments that are deadline driven.

The position may include field inspection and may require travel to project sites.
