Job Description
Position:
Customer Service Associate (in-office) located in Augusta, Maine.
Schedule:
Sunday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Compensation:
$17.50 – $19.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
We are looking for someone with a demonstrable customer‑centric attitude and professional demeanor. Must be proficient in MS Office suite—Outlook, Word, and especially Excel in a SharePoint environment.
Position Purpose A Customer Service Associate is vital to the success of Performance Foodservice. As part of the sales support team, the associate is the first point of contact for all customers who have questions about orders, products, or the company. The role serves as a liaison between the customer and the Sales Account Representative as well as internal departments.
Responsibilities
Attend training and customer‑service meetings.
Process orders and transactions.
Answer questions about products and services.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
Support sales in all aspects.
Provide information to other departments based on customer feedback.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
6–12 months customer service, call center, or related experience.
Customer‑centric attitude with professional demeanor.
Proficient in MS Office suite—Outlook, Word, and especially Excel in a SharePoint environment.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
1–2 years customer service, call center, or related experience within the food‑service industry.
Must work in office.
