Position Overview: Our client, an established insurance agency, is seeking a detail-oriented
Personal Lines Insurance Assistant
to support their Personal Lines team. This role is heavily focused on back-end administrative work, requiring strong organizational skills and advanced Excel proficiency. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining data accuracy, supporting account managers, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the Personal Lines team
Maintain and update client and policy data within AMS 360
Manage and organize large datasets using Excel (tracking, reporting, auditing)
Assist with policy processing, documentation, and internal workflows
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and internal documentation for the team
Support renewal preparation and general account servicing tasks
Ensure accuracy and compliance across all data entry and documentation
Collaborate with account managers to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Qualifications:
Prior experience in Personal Lines insurance required
Strong working knowledge of
AMS 360
highly preferred
Advanced proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
(pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data management)
Experience supporting account managers or service teams is a plus
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and ability to work in a team environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Additional Preferences:
New York insurance experience strongly preferred
Must be
commutable to Garden City, NY
for a hybrid schedule
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
