Who YOU are: The Business Development Manager in our Sales Development Program is a high-energy, travel-focused role designed for outgoing, motivated individuals looking to launch a career in sales. In this position, you will serve as the face of Butler Plus at trade shows and industry events across a multi-state territory, engaging with potential customers, building relationships, and generating qualified leads that drive business growth.
This role is approximately 90% travel and is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, people-driven environments and enjoy being on the road. As part of our structured Sales Development Program, you will gain hands‑on experience, professional training, and mentorship to prepare you for the next step in your career.
Upon successful completion of the one-year program, top performers will have the opportunity to promote into an Area Sales Manager role, taking ownership of a territory with increased earning potential and direct impact on company growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Traveling to and from events across your territory (this role is 90% travel — you need to love the road)
Setting up and breaking down trade show booths and branded displays
Working the floor, engaging, socializing, and attracting potential new customers with energy and enthusiasm
Building genuine relationships with property managers, leasing teams, and decision‑makers in the multifamily community
Measured on revenue contribution, pipeline development, and conversion rates
Expected to independently manage territory activity and prospect engagement
Responsible for driving sales outcomes, not just lead generation
Representing Butler Plus with professionalism and personality — yes, that includes dressing on theme at events
Participate in training designed to prepare you for a future sales career as part of our Sales Development Program
Perform additional duties as assigned
Complete the one-year program and you'll earn a promotion to Area Sales Manager with:
A significantly higher earning potential
Inbound leads provided
Your own territory to own and grow

Position Requirements
Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree with a focus in sales, marketing, or business
Energetic, outgoing, and genuinely love meeting people

You are willing and able to travel frequently
