We are seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Internet Sales Manager to lead our Business Development Center (BDC) and online sales efforts. This role is responsible for driving customer retention, unit sales, and profitability through effective online vehicle sales strategies. The Internet Sales Manager will work closely with both customers and internal teams to build strong relationships and bridge gaps in the sales process through digital engagement. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals Forecast annual and monthly goals and objectives for the Internet department Manage and monitor the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and successful deal closure Ensure consistent daily follow-up on all Internet leads Provide exceptional customer service to build and maintain strong client relationships and referral networks Lead, coach, train, and motivate the BDC and sales teams to drive performance and success Provide training and support to sales staff on phone and Internet sales techniques, assisting in closing deals when needed Desk deals and handle turnovers (T.O.s) to maximize deal potential Collaborate with dealership partners to drive sales performance and support their business needs Coordinate Internet promotions and advertising efforts Manage and update the dealership website regularly to attract new and repeat customers Work with third-party vendors (e.g., AutoTrader, Cars.com) to increase lead generation and online presence Research online auto-buying services and act as liaison for digital marketing platforms Help manage online inventory listings and incentives Develop, implement, and monitor prospecting and sales control systems to ensure proper follow-up Analyze sales data and trends to inform strategy and improve performance Promote teamwork across departments to ensure a seamless, customer-focused sales and delivery process Enforce dealership policies while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and brand image Work with local and national vendors and manufacturer representatives Requirements
Proven experience in automotive sales and/or a sales BDC environment with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets Strong understanding of retail automotive sales operations and customer relationship management (CRM) systems Ability to analyze sales data and translate insights into actionable strategies Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate a team Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (DriveCentric preferred) Strong computer and phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook, CRM tools) Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Compensation & Benefits
