Overview
Lead audit engagements for healthcare industry clients, ensuring compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and other relevant standards.
Collaborate with managers and partners to develop audit strategies and interpret findings effectively.
Perform detailed reviews of audit procedures and deliverables, ensuring high-quality standards.
Train and mentor junior audit staff, fostering professional growth and skill development.
Research complex accounting topics and apply technical skills to audit engagements.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including statements, footnotes, and supplemental information.
Analyze industry trends and client business strategies to enhance audit analytics.
Participate in professional development opportunities and maintain required certifications.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Develop audit programs and steps to identify risks and ensure assignment quality standards.
Manage engagement staff to meet deliverable deadlines and address roadblocks effectively.
Provide constructive feedback and on-the-job training to interns and staff.
Understand internal control deficiencies and develop management letter comments.
Express audit findings clearly in both oral and written forms.
Apply industry trends to analytics and formulate expectations for audit variances.
Perform effective in-charge level reviews of audit team’s work for finalization.
Travel locally to client sites as required, maintaining professional client relationships.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution required.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive audit experience in public accounting.
CPA certification or progress towards CPA certification preferred.
Solid understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and FASB regulations, with Single Audit experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ProSystems, and CCH platforms.
Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet challenging client requirements.
Willingness to travel locally and work additional hours as needed.
