KXII 12 is seeking an experienced, dynamic anchor for the market’s longtime #1 morning newscast.

General Responsibilities

Anchor weekday morning newscast from 5-9AM and midday newscast from 12:00-12:30PM

Copy edit and occasionally write scripts for morning and midday newscasts

Help produce midday newscast and fill‑in anchor as needed

Possess great live reporting skills for field anchoring and breaking news

Help post digital content (news stories, interview segments, social media, etc.), especially breaking news before 8AM

Appear at various community events that may occur outside normal shift

Serve as mentor and teacher to young reporters and producers

Qualifications Prior anchoring and on‑air reporting experience preferred. Must have ability to anchor every type of story, be willing to book and perform live in‑studio interviews, help produce the morning and midday newscasts, write great copy, edit video, and occasionally anchor or report from the field. Must possess strong writing and information gathering skills, be a quick thinker ready for anything, and have strong ad‑lib abilities. College degree in related field preferred. Must have good driving record and valid driver’s license.
