PMG
The Portfolio Management Group (PMG) is a multi‑asset class investing group that sits within the Private Wealth Management Division at Goldman Sachs. PMG specializes in the discretionary management of portfolios across traditional and alternative asset classes and provides outsourced CIO services to private clients as well as select institutions. The team leverages and combines the independent strategic and tactical asset allocation framework of the Investment Strategy Group (ISG) of Private Wealth Management, a rigorous investment process and an open‑architecture investment platform, to construct customized risk‑focused portfolios. Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be part of the PMG EMEA team, which provides discretionary portfolio management services to PWM clients. The candidate would be responsible for many day‑to‑day responsibilities associated with monitoring client portfolios and producing detailed analysis, attribution, and reporting to provide transparency into the impact of the team’s investment solutions. This role is highly analytical and detail oriented. As a Content Analyst you will own and deliver detailed investment performance reports, portfolio analytics and performance attributions for portfolio management purposes and bespoke client reporting prepare monthly/quarterly portfolio updates, marketing materials and investment proposals comprehend and effectively communicate current portfolio positioning, performance attribution, market trends and investment themes in a manner which is suitable for private clients write performance commentary on financial markets and portfolios leveraging content provided by the Investment Strategy Group as well as your own analysis maintain PMG model portfolios and PMG performance composites for monitoring, reporting and marketing purposes liaise with sales teams and other product groups to respond to ad‑hoc client queries and provide specialist product or market input to RfPs prepare and maintain portfolio and investment/fund level overviews and market analysis used for internal tracking, client reporting as well as marketing materials support the team in evaluating new managers/product on the PWM investment platform that could fit into PMG multi‑asset class portfolios by running performance screens and detailed product comparisons provide operational support to the PMG EMEA portfolio management team during the account onboarding process by
verifying account parameters, trading set‑up and portfolio construction performing trade checks and portfolio reconciliation for portfolio custodied away monitoring and processing proxy votes and corporate actions for the PMG equity SMA platform
work on intra and cross team‑related projects to enhance and improve all aspects of the PMG value proposition (e.g. portfolio / risk management, client service, reporting, marketing) Basic Qualifications
Strong academic background with master’s degree or equivalent preferred Minimum of 1‑5 years of relevant experience Experience in similar roles such as Investment Management, Investment Strategy, Manager Selection, Risk Management, Quantitative research, is preferred CFA designation or equivalent preferred Strong interest in the financial markets, good investment awareness, intermediate or advanced knowledge of asset allocation principles, investment/manager analysis and performance attribution approaches Ability to communicate investment strategies and rationales to audiences of varying levels of sophistication. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail Excellent writing and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
